16. INFECTION CONTROL IN THE USE OF VENTILATORS FOR SARS

PATIENTS

· Discard all ventilator tubings after appropriate decontamination with the recommended disinfectants (0.1% sodium hypochlorite or similar agents) for these devices.

· Do not re-use tubings and suction catheters even in areas of limited resources.
